How to Create a Shared Deal in HubSpot (Shared Selling)

This guide explains how to create a deal in the HubSpot Shared Selling pipeline and convert it into a Shared Deal with a HubSpot representative.

1. Go to Deals

  1. In your HubSpot portal, navigate to Sales → Deals.

  2. From the pipeline dropdown, select HubSpot Shared Selling.


2. Create a New Deal

Click Create deal (top right), then complete the following:

Required fields

  • Deal name

  • Deal stage

  • Deal type

  • Associated contact

  • Associated company

Important notes

  • The associated company must be the business that wants to buy HubSpot.

  • If the contact or company does not already exist in HubSpot, create them first:

    • Click Create contact

    • Click Create company

Once you finish the form, click Create.
HubSpot will automatically open the new deal record.


3. Convert the Deal into a Shared Deal

When the deal opens, look at the right-hand sidebar (top section).
You will see a panel titled Shared deals with a button:

  1. Click Convert to shared deal.

  2. A pop-up window will appear asking for the required information.

  3. Complete the fields, which typically include:

    • Your HubSpot rep

    • Basic deal context

    • Any additional details needed for Shared Selling

  4. Click Submit.

This will officially convert your deal into a Shared Deal with HubSpot’s Sales team.
